KATHERINE EHLERS PAPE
St. Petersburg, Florida- Katherine Ehlers Pape 65, died Sunday, April 22, 2007 at Palms of Pasadena Hospital under hospice care. She was a native of Savannah, Georgia and moved to Pinellas County, Florida with her late husband Eugene Pape in 1962 eventually settling in Redington Beach in 1977 with her husband and two children.
She was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church while in Savannah and Garden of Peace Lutheran Church upon moving to Florida. She taught in the Pinellas County School system for more than 25 years primarily teaching kindergarten before retiring in 2004.
Surviving are; her son, Hunter Pape, her daughter, Katherine Cutrera, two grandchildren, Leigh Ann and Sarah Turner. Also surviving is her brother, John Ehlers.
Graveside Services will be Saturday, April 28, 2007 at 11 a.m. in Bonaventure Cemetery.
